Ruangikan.com – Pada kesempatan kali ini kami akan membahas mengenai bagaimana cara budidaya udang windu beserta harga udang windu terbaru dan terlengkap untuk hari ini.

Udang windu merupakan salah satu komoditas ekspor perikanan indonesia yang sudah ada sejak tahun 1980.

Budidaya udang windu berkembang sangat pesat hingga awal tahun 2000 an. Indonesia menjadi salah satu eksportir udang windu terbesar di dunia.

Seiring berkembangnya teknologi hibrida perikanan. Pada awal tahun 2005 udang windu mulai mengalami penurunan konsumen.

Hal ini disebabkan banyak orang lebih memilih udang vaname untuk dibudidayakan karena harganya yang lebih mahal.

Selain itu, para pembudidaya udang windu sekarang sudah banyak yang beralih untuk membudidayakan udang vaname karena permintaan pasar akan udang windu tidak sebesar udang vaname.

Hal ini dikarenakan perawatan udang vaname yang lebih mudah, permintaan pasar yang tinggi, serta harga udang vaname yang lebih stabil.

Walaupun sekarang ini lebih banyak dijumpai pembudidaya udang vaname, tetapi masih ada beberapa pembudidaya udang yang masih membudidayakan udang windu.

Dikarenakan harga udang windu yang lebih mahal serta permintaan ekspor yang masih tinggi.

Nah berikut ini pembahasan mengenai bagaimana cara budidaya udang windu agar dapat menghasilkan omset tinggi.

1. Lokasi Budidaya Udang Windu

Pemilihan lokasi untuk budidaya udang windu sangatlah penting. Pertumbuhan udang windu akan optimal pada parameter kadar garam 15-25 ppm, pH 7-8, suhu air 25-29 celcius, suhu udara 26-31 celcius, dan kadar oksigen terlarut sebesar 3 ppt.

Anda dapat membuat tambak budidaya udang windu menggunakan kolam terpal maupun kolam lumpur.

Tetapi menurut beberapa ahli, media yang bagus untuk membudidayakan udang windu adalah dengan menggunakan kolam terpal.

Penggunaan kolam terpal dipilih karena udang akan lebih mudah dikontrol dan menjaga beberapa parameter pertumbuhan udang tersebut agar lebih stabil.

Sebelum anda menempatkan benih udang windu dalam tambak, anda harus mempersiapkan media budidaya terlebih dahulu.

Keluarkan lumpur yang membahayakan pertumbuhan udang windu. Selanjutnya, anda bisa memberikan pembalikan tanah di dasar tambak dengan cara dibajak.

Cara ini bertujuan untuk membuat media budidaya terbebas dari gas yang bersifat racun berupa H2S dan amoniak pada tanah.

Proses selanjutnya adalah pengapuran lahan. Pengapuran bertujuan untuk menetralkan keasaman tanah dan membunuh bibit-bibit penyakit.

Pengapuran bisa dilakukan dengan kapur Zeolit dan Dolomit dengan dosis masing-masing 1 ton/hektar. Metode selanjutnya adalah proses pengeringan kolam.

Pengeringan kolam dilakukan untuk mencegah bibit hama penyakit yang tersisa dari proses budidaya sebelumnya. Lakukan proses pengeringan kolam ini selama 2-3 hari hingga media benar-benar kering.

2. Pengisian Air dan Pemilihan Benih Berkualitas

Setelah media tambak budidaya udang windu siap dipakan, langkah selanjutnya yakni anda bisa melakukan pengisian air setelah 3 hari fase pengeringan lahan.

Proses pertama yakni memasukan air setinggi 10-25 cm dan biarkan beberapa hari untuk memberi kesempatan bibit-bibit plankton tumbuh. Setelah itu air ditambahkan hingga kedalaman maksimal 80 cm.

Dalam tahapan ini, bisa dilakukan perlakuan saponin untuk membunuh ikan yang masuk ke tambak.

Jika ingin menyuburkan plankton sebelum benur ditebar Lakukan pengisian air kapur dengan Dolomit atau Zeolit dengan dosis 600 kg/hektar.

Setelah proses ini dilakukan, selanjutnya anda bisa mendiamkan air selama 3 hari sebelum proses penebaran benih udang windu.

Pemilihan benih udang windu atau yang lebih dikenal dengan benu bisa anda lakukan dengan membeli benih di perusahan pembenihan yang sudah terdaftar negara.

Bibit udang windu yang berkualitas dapat anda dapatkan para pihak pembibitan udang windu yang sudah berpengalaman atau lebih baik jika sudah memiliki sertifikat CPIB.

Ciri-ciri benih udang windu berkualitas yakni secara fisik nampak benih berwarna tegas (benih kecoklatan) atau tidak pucat, aktif bergerak, sehat dan mempunyai alat tubuh yang lengkap.

Lakukan pengujian benih dengan cara meletakkan sejumlah benih dalam wadah panci atau baskom yang diberi air kemudian aduk air dengan cukup kencang selama 1-3 menit.

Dengan cara ini, bisa dilihat daya tahan benur, apakah benur aktif dan melawan putaran di wadah. Jika air putaran berhenti, apakah benur tetap aktif bergerak.

Jika ciri-ciri benih udang windu berkualitas terpenuhi, maka anda siap untuk melakukan proses penebaran benih pada media yang sudah siap pakai.

3. Proses Penebaran Benur dan Pemberian Pakan

Setelah melakukan pemilihan benur dan menyiapkan air dalam tambak, tahapan selanjutnya adalah penebaran benur.

Lakukan penebaran benur dengan hati-hati, karena benur masih lemah dan mudah stress.

Penebaran benur ini juga harus dilakukan secara bertahap dengan cara melakukan adaptasi suhu terlebih dahulu.

Proses pertama yakni plastik wadah benih direndam selama 15-30 menit, agar terjadi penyesuaian suhu antara air di kolam dan di dalam plastik.

Kemudian, lakukan adaptasi udara dengan cara plastik dibuka dan dilipat pada bagian ujungnya dan biarkan plastik tersebut terbuka dan terapung selama 15-30 menit agar terjadi pertukaran udara.

Percikkan air tambak ke dalam plastik selama 10 menit agar terjadi percampuran air yang berbeda salinitasnya sehingga benur dapat menyesuaikan dengan salinitas air tambak.

Setelah itu lakukan pengeluaran benur dengan cara memasukkan sebagian ujung plastik ke air tambak dan biarkan benur keluar sendiri ke air tambak.

Pakan udang windu dibagi menjadi dua, yakni pakan alami berupa plankton dan pakan buatan berupa pelet buatan pabrik. Pelet berkualitas adalah pelet yang memiliki kandungan protein yang tinggi.

Pilihlah merk pelet berkualitas dari perusahaan penyedia pakan terkenal maupun perusahaan resmi pemerintah. Berikut ini langkah pemberian makan udang windu terbaik.

4. Proses Pemberian Pakan Udang Windu

Lakukan pemberian pakan berupa pelet dengan kadar yang disesuaikan pada berat/bobot udang. Disarankan untuk memberikan pakan dengan jumlah 10% dari bobot badan udang.

Frekuensi pemberian pakan dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali sehari, yakni pada pagi (07.00) dan sore hari (17.00).

Pakan alami udang windu harus tetap dipertahankan dengan cara pemberian pakan plankton. Pemeliharaan plankton dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian suplemen pertumbuhan plankton.

Untuk mengontrol kekurangan pakan tambahan anda dapat melihat dari warna usus udang. Jika terlihat warna usus terputus-putus ataupun hanya coklat, tandanya udang membutuhkan tambahan pakan alami.

5. Proses Panen dan Pemasaran

Udang windu bisa dipanen di usia kurang lebih 5 hingga 6 bulan dengan ukuran berat rata-rata 8 ons per ekornya.

Untuk memastikan bahwa udang sudah layak panen, perhatikan fisiknya, seperti berukuran besar, kulit keras, bersih, licin, bersinar, alat tubuh lengkap, masih hidup dan segar.

Penangkapan udang pada saat panen bisa dilakukan dengan menebar jala. Waktu panen udang windu yang baik yakni pada malam hari atau dini hari agar udang tidak terkena panas sinar matahari.

Untuk memasarkan hasil panen, anda dapat membagi dalam dua metode. Untuk udang windu berkualitas dengan ukuran besar, anda bisa menjual udang windu ke pengepul eksportir. Harga udang windu berkualitas ekspor pengepul mau membeli udang dengan harga Rp 180.000 per kilo.

Sedangkan untuk udang windu hasil sortiran anda bisa juall ke pasar, rumah makan, restoran ataupun hotel. Penentuan harga jual budidaya udang windu di pasar lokal bisa dihitung per kilogram.

Harga udang windu di pasar lokal berkisar Rp 140.000 per kilo.  Harga udang windu tergantung dinamika harga dan permintaan pasar.
